In our Defensive Handgun Techniques class, students will be introduced to the fundamentals of using a handgun in a defensive situation.

This comprehensive 10 hour course is a great complement to your concealed carry training. This course focuses on the physical aspects of a defensive scenario, which may require the use of a handgun and will cover:

• Color code of mental awareness
• Proper holster presentation
• Drawing a handgun from concealment
• Handgun reloads
• Clearing handgun malfunctions
• Shot placement & effects
• Effects of stress on shooting proficiency

Pre-requisites:
Sucessful completion of our Introduction to Handguns Part I & Part II courses or similar course(s) and demonstration of basic understanding of firearm safety, manipulation and basic shooting skills.

Equipment Requirements:

• Functioning & reliable handgun
• Holster (strong side only)
• Vest or large shirt to “conceal” handgun
• Minimum of 2 magazines, 3-4 recommended (semi-automatic)
• Minimum of 2 speed loaders (revolvers)
• Magazine or speed loader carrier(s)
• 500-600 rounds of ammunition

DISCLAIMER:
*Cancellation/Reschedule Policy: We require 1 week notice in the event that you cannot make a course. Students who cancel within 1 week of the course will forfeit their course fee. In the event of a medical or other emergency, we will waive the cancellation fees but we will require satisfactory documentation of said emergency. Students are allowed a maximum of 2 reschedules after which they will be charged a $25 administrative fee.
